Will We Never Have the Best Sex of Our Lives?
Lizz Winstead, thank you for addressing it. As she points out, the general feeling is that it's not always safe to have a 100% totally free sexual life because we're living in fear. And when asked what "we" are supposed to be afraid of, she immediately points to rape, then death.
Internet and Sex Podcast with Betty Dodson and Carlin Ross
I am always inspired when in the presence of Carlin and Betty. Click on the link and listen to us discuss the complications of cyber-fantasies, sex work, andgirl-on-girl love.
Jezebel Writers Too Smart for Rape… Why aren’t they writing about this in their blog?
Anyway, Egan and Tkacik make valid arguments, one that enraged the audience but also made them laugh. You know why? Because what they say is essentially true. And, technically, they're not wrong because, as women and potential victims of future date rape scenarios, their perspective is one that makes sense. They don't see themselves as victims, rape does not have to cripple their spirit, and they can laugh a little at the mass hysteria that rape has caused in all of us, men and women.

My point is one similarly made in another post: When male artists have an outlet to their "rage" (usually it's a woman because these boys have obvious mommy issues), then why aren't female artists producing violent responses to these videos? Are, more importantly, why aren't female artists empowering their rage and aggression and demonstrating this in their music videos?
