Given the popularity of post-apocalyptic science fiction in books, movies, video games of late, I can't help but wonder where the ideas for a better future for the world have gone.Is it because we are in the midst of a global recession, or maybe I just don't know where to look, but it doesn't seem like there is much hope for a better world anymore.
