Description: I started writing a mystery, it just came to me the other day, so I started writing before I forgot it. There a few grammer errors and spelling mistakes, I just started, give me a break =] Here it goes: [Nate is staring at a Driver's License in a wallet. He looks around him and everything starts moving back to what it was, 5 minutes ago or so. He can see himself holding a gun to his friend Dan, who is around twenty years older than him.] D: "You don't have a fucking clue, the truth stands their in front of you. You don't have it in you, you fucking... failure." N: "Test me." [Man pulls gun trigger] N: A man wakes up, hes been beaten down. He cannot remember what he did or where hes been. The man has lost his values and morals. The man lives and the man dies, one too many times that is. He looks left and he looks right, and thats the only thing he remembers, he stays alone. Hes tried everything to save him from himself, but nothing has worked. And if you think God can help then hes already tricked you. A man prays that his life would get better and when he thinks it does, it gets worse. He thinks the world is wrong and everyone else thinks their right. You live in one giant mindfuck, with nowhere to go. The man just comitted a crime and the body lies next to him. But the man doesn't remember who the other man is. He looks familiar but most of his face is dismembered. The man looks down, theres blood on his clothes. A man lies their on the ground, beaten down. He looks left and he looks right, he stands alone... D: "How about today?" N: "Sorry, I'm not feeling it today." D: "Atleast you don't remember what you feel." N: "Let go here." [He point to spot on the map] D: "Why? You haven't been there, since before the accident." N: "Oh, it was no accident." D: "Keep on believing what you want, they caught the guy." N: "I saw what he was wearing. And I saw the most part of him from a view behind him." D: "It was like Twenty Years ago." N: "One never forgets." D: "I would love to help you but we've been there." N: "I need to see it again, I could remember." D: "I doubt it, but we'll go, your paying for my time." N: "I thought you were in it to help me?" D: "Well that too." [The head towards a car. Dan gets in the car. Nate opens the trunk and finds a gun lying in an empty space. He hides it in the waste-band of his pants. He gets in the car and they go to an opening in a field] D: "Just how you remembered it?" N: "Yep, just how I remembered it. I can't seem to get a spark on how it happened." D: "Have you tried praying?" N: "Praying?" D: "You know, like, ask your brother for guidance or something." N: "God is dead and if he isn't I'll kill him." D: "A man can only be beaten down so many times." [Nate looks around and closes his eyes. He remembers the man bent over, staring his brother in the eyes. He turns aound and sees Dan bent over looking at the grass. He realizes his closest friend is the one hes been looking for. Dan starts speaking.] D: "So you were out here playing, and then you went inside and then you saw the man strangling your brother?" N: "I never told anyone I was outside playing." D: "Are you sure you just didn't forget?" N: "No, I wouldn't have told anyone. You were there, weren't you?" D: "Don't get retarded on me, I met you five years ago, you asked me to help and agreed, as long as their was a pay day in it." [Dan turns away and starts walking towards the car] D: "I've helping you, why would I betray you? Honestly, you've got to get your head cleared. Aw shit, the car locked toss me the keys." N: "Hold on." [Nate turns away and pulls a piece of paper out of his pocket. It reads, "You've met Dan before. Hes known you for more than five years. Don't believe his lies, kill him. He killed Anthony." He turns around and Dan is looking into the horizon.] N: "You son of a bitch!" [He runs up behind him and hits him with his gun] D: "Aw, fuck! What the fucks you're problem?" N: "20 years ago you stood here and killed my brother." D: "Don't do this, I only met you five years ago." N: "Shut the fuck up, alright? You lied at the wrong time. You're the one I've been looking for." D: "You don't have a fucking clue, the truth stands their in front of you. You don't have it in you, you fucking... failure." N: "Test me." [He pulls the trigger] N: "A man can only be beaten down a few times before he believes anything. You make one little lie to help yourself find your brother's murder and you end up believing it, 80% percent of the time that is. They were be some days where I'll just forget things from years back. Other times, I remember things from six months back or so, I psychologically created this condition. What? No, no, no... Its not amnesia its like it though, but my brain basically remembers what it wants. The main thing I remember is my brother, being murdered. That's why I created this lie that I forget things, so I could tell who was lying to me or not. I should have waited longer though, I was too young to handle it. That mainly why I believed what I lied about, I lied so much that I actually psychologically developed it. Well, of course it stops me from doing things others can. The only thing it hasn't stopped me from is finding my brother's murderer. I know I'm close. What was that? Well I've been taking notes for the forgetful times. Its sloppy but it works." [In the lobby of a hotel] N: "Hey, did anyone call for me?" C: "Actually yes someone did, would you like to know? After all, you told us to hold your calls." N: "Yes please." C: "Some guy named Dan, your friend." N: "How do you know this?" C: "You guys are always together, for the passed few years now." N: "Yeah, five." C: "Longer than that, Nate. I'd say ten or twelve at the least." N: "I'll keep that in mind." [Nate pulls out a piece of paper, it reads, "Don't believe his lies, kill him. He killed Anthony." Theres a space above the written text, he writes, "You've met Dan before. Hes known you for more than five years." Nate flips the paper over and it says, its in the trunk, finish what you've started. Go to the old field, its abandoned. Nobody lives there anymore the houses are gone. Its the perfect place to do it.] N: "Thanks for the info..." [Looks at her name tag] N: "...Carly." C: "Your welcome." [Nate starts walking away.] C: "Hey, that guy, hes here." [Dan enters the lobby] D: "Nate! Where do you want to go today?" N: "I'm not sure." D: "How about the bar?" N: "The bar? No. Sorry, I'm not feeling it today." D: "At least you don't remember what you feel." N: "How about here?" [Points to a spot on the map.] ....... its a little confusing tell me what you think...
