Alameda City Manager Responds to SunCal’s Response to City Election Report
In this twelve-page letter to SunCal, Alameda City Manager Ann Marie Gallant responds to written comments received from SunCal about the City’s election report. One of the key points she makes tears down SunCal’s claims about “negotiations” to “fix” what’s wrong with the initiative. In the letter, Gallant writes: “the City cannot, at this point, assure voters of the extent to which these issues would be subsequently and satisfactorily addressed as a result of the negotiation process.” Further, Gallant calls SunCal’
Lehman Brothers Set to Upstage SunCal With Millions for SunCal Oak Knoll Cleanup

A media advisory, sent late yesterday by the City of Oakland, announced a press conference for 9:30am t

The premise is based on a recent retail phenomenon, or fad, if you prefer, of creating a deliberately short-lived retail space that appears unannounced, quickly draws in a crowd, and then disappears or turns into something else. At this Super Pop-Up Shop, visitors will be able to: • Test drive prototype kid-size shopping carts assembled from recycled materials â€

Dear Editor, Tuesday night City Council meeting will again discuss giving $2 million of Alameda’s $3.4 million Measure WW Parks money to the Alameda Boys and Girls Club. East Bay Regional Parks District has decided they will not make the decision about the legality of using Measure WW money for a private organization until next year. Councilmember Gilmore wants the council to vote to use our park money for the BGC facility now so the application will get to EBRPD decision makers in February. Please come to the City Council meeting Tuesday evening, City Hall, 3rd floor at 7:30pm to support retaining o
