It’s something we should do every day of the year, but somewhere in the hustle and bustle of life you can lose sight of the important things. To me, Thanksgiving isn’t about religion. It isn’t about food (although I’m seriously looking forward to the turkey and cranberry sauce to come later today). Recently a reader left a comment here, along the lines of “I’m glad you’re doing hair posts again.” This sparked an internal guilt trip that I won’t recount in great detail, but I want to let you all know that I’m gonna try my bestest to do better. It’s hard out here for a full time blogger, y’all. I’m trying my best to keep all the plates spinning and sometimes I lose track of my main focus. Natural Hair Is Everywhere!
For so many years it seemed that images of natural hair in media were uncommon. For so long it seemed like the standard photograph of a woman of color in an ad had to be a bella with stick straightened hair. But the tide has changed and now I see beautiful images of women of color EVERYWHERE, in all of our varied textures. And I love it! My Twitter homie (and incredible DJ) DJ Stylus, shared this awesome
