How much faith should you have in Big Blue???
When I look at the Ny Giants I feel they should be an elite team. They are just two years from being Super Bowl Champions. They went 12-4 last year and were the top seed in the NFC. I see players on the roster like Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck, Antonio Pierce, Eli Manning, Steve Smith and on and on. They started out this season on fire with a 5-0 record (yes, against very suspect opponents). Yet, when I look at how this team has performed over the past three dismal weeks, I see at team that looks on par with the Oakland Raiders----and that is NOT a good thing! The Ny Giants look lost right now. They have no swagger, no urgency, no fire, no confidence. They are not tackling we
Giant disgrace!!!
I held off on writing this post yesterday because I wanted to calm down first. A full Day later I am still pissed! This team is flat out awful! Period! Any thoughts that we had of another Super Bowl run seem laughable at the moment because right now I doubt these clowns are good enough to make the playoffs! They came out flat, uninspired, unprepared and any other negative words you care to add. Lets look at a brief list of things that bothered me, in no particular order of importance;  -Eli Manning, whom I have always defended, is a joke. He looked, for the third straight week, scared and indecisive. His throws were awful and decisions were lousy. He has regressed to his
Gameday; Giants vs Eagles!!!
It is Sunday morning and the Ny Giants are now just a few hours away from making Eagles Quarterback Donovan McNabb wish he had never pulled that low rent move of picking up the phone on the Giants sidelines during that playoff game last season. Mr. McNabb, charma can be a bitch my friend! We are now part way through the big turnpike series weekend between New and Philadelphia (see my previous post on this topic) and so far so good as the Yankees beat the Phillies last night to take a 2-1 lead in the World Series. While the Knicks lost to the Sixers (expected), NY can make good on my prediction with a Giants victory this afternoon.  I feel confident (not overly mind you, t
A big New York-Philly weekend!!!!
It is really amazing how at times the stars align to bring about something like what we are about to witness this weekend; New York and Philadelphia, two natural and bitter rivals, clash in three seperate sports all in one weekend. Of course our beloved Ny Giants take on the Eagles in a game with huge implications for the NFC East, while the Knicks play the Sixers and the Yankees play the Phillies in the World Series. In a perfect and just World it would be a clean sweep for the good guys from the Big City (sorry cheese steak fans, that means New York, the Worlds greatest City, hands down!). It is highly unlikely to occur however(though, if it does, then Pedro Martinez co
The importance of tomorrow's game...
As I mentioned earlier this week, there is simply no overstating it; Sundays NFC East showdown at the Linc is huge! The NY Giants jumped out to a 5-0 record and appeared to be ready to run away and hide from the rest of the division. Now, two losses and a Dallas Cowboy win later, the division is suddenly very tight. Here is how it currently stacks up; Giants   5-2 Cowboys   4-2 Eagles   4-2 Redskins   (who cares) With the Cowboys playing a junior varsity team in the Seahawks, you have to figure they will extend to 5-2. Obviously, should the Giants blow yet another one, the Eagles would also be 5-2 while the Giants (then in third place) would be 5
