My Team Rivals interview with Ralph Vacchiano!!!!
My Team Rivals recently caught up with the outstanding writer from the NY Daily News, Ralph Vacchiano. Ralph is, in our humble opinion, simply the best beat writer covering Big Blue. He can be found at NY Daily News as well as his blog, the Blue Screen.
Also, remember to check out our NFL Complete coverage, enjoy and have a happy and safe Thanksgiving...

So much for being healthy....
I swear this team cannot catch a break this season. Just when it seemed like things were getting on track after a bye week that saw the Bears, Falcons, Eagles and Cowboys all lose giving the Giants an immeasurable boost to their playoff hopes; just when they FINALLY got all 53 men to practice for the first time comes the stunning news; Antonio Pierce is out!
Evidently, a neck inury Pierce sustained against the Cardinals, originally thought to be minor, is a bulging disk.
NFL week 11 picks; Giants vs Falcons!!!!
The NY Giants are back in business this weekend after a much needed (if not much deserved) rest. They of course were handed a huge early Christmas present last weekend as every team they needed to lose to mitigate their own ineptitude actually obliged and lost!
Thank you letters are at this exact moment being mailed out to the management of the Bears, Falcons, Eagles and Cowboys!
Thanks, guys!
So, what do I expect on Sunday???
Simple; a big Giants victory. Seriously, they are too talented and too healthy (for the first time this season) to let this golden opportunity slip through their Big Blue hands. They are well rested after the bye week; rejuvinated, mot
They had better not screw this up!!!!
There is a definitely more positive feel around the Giants and their fans these days after four straight brutal losses. All seemed lost when 5-0 turned in an ugly fashion (is there really any other way?) into 5-4. Just when desperation seemed ready to set in, the Giants enjoyed what really was an almost miraculous bye week.
Think about it; the Bears lost, the Falcons lost, the Eagles lost, the Cowboys lost. More then that, the injury bug (which has plagued the suddenly healthy Giants all season), has bitten many of the teams they are competing with for a playoff spot.
Brian Westbrook may be done for the season due to his second concussion in three weeks. Falcons stud
The big picture for Big Blue!!!
After the Ny Giants got an early Christmas present yesterday in the form of losses by the Cowboys, Eagles and Falcons, here is their current situation; they find themselves one game back of the Cowboys (whom they have already beaten and face at Giants stadium in a few weeks) and they are tied for the wild card with the Eagles (whom they also get another crack at), Packers, and Falcons (their next opponent).
In other words, the Giants clearly have their fate in their own hands. The games against the teams they are competing against are huge. They must find five wins among their remaining seven games. Here is the schedule:
