Michigan NCRC Conference a Great Milestone

The conference was a great success this year. We had over 300 in attendance, up from last year! Yet, most impressive was the quality of the content shared by our keynote speakers and session presenters. Many thanks to the conference planning committee and all of the Michigan NCRC board members and friends that helped organize and manage the conference. And a special thanks for our speakers and presenters. The NCRC is demonstrating value as an alignment tool. The certificate has become our common definition of essential skills. This year we had the help of four Gratiot-Isabella CTE students for our media needs. The students: Cassondra Marytn, Victoria Rodriguez, Charleigh Poindexter, and Adam Austin did a great job. Michigan the Leader in Gold and Platinum NCRCs

The advocates have been busy finding a way to claim first place in something. Michigan leads the nation in the number and the percentage of Gold and Platinum certificates. We have 20,309 certificates at Gold and above. That is 25% of our total. Michigan workers have higher skills; and we have the certificates to prove it!

Conference registration is up this year! We have 267 registrations as of Thursday at noon and they keep rolling in. Thank you to Karen Woolman and the team at Macomb Community College for coordinating registratoins for us. Looking forward to meeting you all on Monday.
