Worship is a lifestyle. It's more than a style of music, certain CD, or church service. It's about worshiping God with all your heart, soul, and mind, and living a life that treasures God above all else. |

November, Thanksgiving, and Adoption
November is National Adoption Month. And November 21 was National Adoption Day. And as this month closes out we are thankful for the gift of adoption. Both of our children came into our family through adoption. We are thankful for the gift of life two different college students gave to their offspring. By placing them for adoption they not only gave their babies life, but a loving, Christian home, where they would be loved by a husband and wife bound together in a covenant of marriage in the context of a local church body. My view of adoption has changed considerably over the years. Once viewed as something of an oddity, I had no awareness of the many kids who needed moms and dads. Somehow

From Johnny Hunt, President of the Southern Baptist Convention earlier this week: I wanted to drop you a note
Louie Giglio: So, So Grateful
From Louie Giglio: It’s not hard for Shelley and me to remember back to late spring 1995. It was a turbulent time in our lives as we said goodbye to ten years of campus ministry in Texas, leaving behind the students we loved and a movement we had leveraged what little we had for. Our plan, though uncertain, was to move to Atlanta to help my mom care for my dad who had become disabled seven years earlier as a result of a rare brain virus. Helping her was unmistakably clear. Everything else was up for grabs. But, before we could actually complete the move my dad suddenly died of a heart attack on Friday, April 28. Shelley and I got the news while I was speaking at a conference in Boston. We
Mac Powell, Rockstar, and National Adoption Day
“People ask me how I stay humble,” says Mac. “If I’m humble it’s because I have a family and wife who don’t treat me like a rockstar. Who couldn’t care less if I win Grammy Awards.”
Mac doesn’t hesitate to provide an example. He recalls a sold-out arena. A crowd chanting the band’s name. “Third Day! Third Day!” And the thought “I’m in the greatest Christian rock band in the world!” Then the trailer door swings open, two arms holding a baby emerge, his wife’s voice, “Mac. Will you change this diaper?”
“I’m humble because I can’t help but stay humble,” says Mac.
And Aimee isn’t the only one to keep “Papa
