Holiday Cooking
I’m not much of a cook except when it comes to the holidays. Then I gather up my nerve and my holiday recipes and give it a try. Most of the time, things turn out perfectly. It’s me who worries and stresses over nothing. These are meals that I’ve been cooking for ages so I don’t know where my fear comes from. If I do try something new I warn my family ahead of time, let them look over the recipe and have my husband with me when I cook. I feel a lot better that way. If I have the time, I may even try it before hand to see if I can cook it and to see if it tastes good. I also look for

The day before Thanksgiving my husband Shawn was so sick that he said he was going to the doctor. The night before he had 104 degree fever and couldn’t be away from the bathroom very long if you get my drift. The doctor sent him to the ER to get an IV because he was dehydrated. It ended up that he was admitted with a white blood count two times higher than normal. He didn’t want to be admitted but he was so weak he didn’t have much of a choice. It was scary and a t
