I'm a Finnish mom with two daughters and one husband. My blog is mostly about normal life in Finland - work, raising the kids, struggling with the life, nature and photography, horses and riding - sometimes also music. So being the faulty, constantly re-shaping clay in the strong but loving hands of The Almighty God, the One and Only, "I am". |

Yesteday we had a blizzard – today it’s raining. Oh, sorry no, it just turned into snow again… That means we’ll have even more car crashes by the end of today. One should think Finns by now know how to drive in snow and on slippery roads, but noo-ope!
By the way, the accident yesterday was a tank truck that had slid on the road. It’s trailer (just filled up with gas or something) had slid off the road and ended up on the bottom of the ditch – upside down. Nobody got hurt, though, as far as I know – but there still was a heavy smell of petrol when I came to work today.
After work yesterday I went for a snowy walk with the pooches
Snow, music and bubblewrap
I didn’t sleep very much. Again. And the day at work seems very boring: Nothing to do. Nothing. Whoopee. Oh, sorry – I do have a piece of bubblewrap. I can drive the others crazy with that! Open offices are sooooo great, aren’t they?
Last night the world turned white. It really snowed a lot – but in the morning there was only a couple of cm of it on the ground. The walkways are partly rather icy so one has to be careful when walking out there. When I drove to work I had to take a detour because there was an accident on the road. It was rather distant from the point the traffic was de-routed but I managed to see a couple of fire engines, at l
ZZzzzzzzzzzhhhh….
Too tired to think. Absolutely brain dead.
I woke up at 5 am – with a starting headache, again! Couldn’t really sleep after that. So once again I took a painkiller for breakfast. This time it helped, thank you God.
At work nothing worked. A Swedish guy didn’t know how to use one system and our contact person wasn’t any better – he tried to blame the new username. There was nothing wrong with that… Then the extranet crashed. When the extranet was up and running again the internet connections crashed. Completely. So it was mostly reading a magazine and killing time. A killer situation after having woken up at 5 am!

Leisured day
Yesterday was a good day and a bad day. I’m not going to write about the bad part (it’s really not the type of material that should be published in the net) so: It was a great day. My head pretty much didn’t hurt at all and the first part of the day was cold but very sunny.
After drinking my morning coffee in peace and quiet I went out with the dogs and my camera. I didn’t walk far but I was there way over an hour. The weather was just beyond gorgeous and the grass, fallen leaves and even the not-fallen ones were covered with sugar-like frost that sparkled in the sun. Just that I didn’t have my tripod and you just try doing any macro shots handheld wh
Migraine
I haven’t vanished or anything. The headache on Tuesday didn’t go away – and didn’t go away. Despite the pills I took for it. I have been pretty disabled because of it. This morning I crawled in to see a doctor. She wrote me a sick leave for today and tomorrow and gave a prescription for a migraine medicine (so far I’ve coped with regular painkillers). I went to buy the pills and the headache was gone. The pills are still in the box… (And after having read all the warnings and other stuff in that slip I don’t think I’ll ever be brave enough to try them!)
Anyway, the head still isn’t 100% so I’m being careful with it. Not
