I'm a Finnish mom with two daughters and one husband. My blog is mostly about normal life in Finland - work, raising the kids, struggling with the life, nature and photography, horses and riding - sometimes also music. So being the faulty, constantly re-shaping clay in the strong but loving hands of The Almighty God, the One and Only, "I am". |

Weird life
I meant to blog today. Instead I cleaned the hall – thoroughly. It was long overdue. Now the girls thought we’re having guests and that’s why I was cleaning. I cleaned the kitchen (well, half of it) – the family has again quit putting their dirty dishes away. I’m planning a huge red sign to remind them about that. I did laundry. I spent several hours fixing Mr Right’s computer that was more than v.e.r.y. slow. Now it works like a charm – plus the backups are done. (not mine – his! who’d do mine…?)
Then I wrote a lengthy e-mail to a person I really don’t even know. Just that she happened to send me some nice words.
Another photo and some H1N1 stuff
This photo was missing from the previous post because I was waiting for a permission to publish it – and yesterday my neck was too sore and my brain too tired to post anything. However, I love this photo because for me it really sums up our Ruissalo trip. We found some weird rusty hooks from the rock and here Lorna is taking a photo of David’s finger pointing at them – stupid goofing around but oh, so much fun! At the cafe we trie
Home again
I was right. No-one went to bed early on Saturday either. Well someone did but it was neither Lorna nor I. I don’t know about the rest of the house but at least the two doggy youngsters got disturbed by our late night talking – and all confused started to play with each other! This pic of the young rascal was taken with my phone.
In the second picture you see The Preacher in the forest church preaching so enthusiastically that a cros
Time flies…
…when you have good time are busy.
I know my blogging has been light this week but I didn’t realize it’s been this light – my last post actually was last Sunday! The having a good time only came along in the weekend – until then it was just being busy. Well, riding on Tuesday was a blast but other than that.
I mentioned about a special project I was working on. With everything else going on in my life it pretty much took care of the rest of my time… Now that I’ve passed the “deadline” I can reveal you what it was: A wall calendar with my pictures and Bible verses for Lorna’s birthday. Yeah. Th
This weekend
We did find Miss 12 a pair of boots on Friday. I wasn’t quite happy with them, they were more like autumn boots than winter ones – but I think she would’ve managed with them by wearing thermo insoles and wooly socks. Only, when we got home and I applied the moisture resistant treatment to them I found a huge whole in the lining! They were the last pair in the shop so there was only one thing to do: Take them back and go hunt for the next pair… We did that on Saturday – and miraculously did find a new pair! They too really weren’t for winter use but at least the sole was better. And they were only half the price compared to the first pair! As a bonus we
