At least 25 dead, 90 injured in Russian luxury train crash caused by large blast
A loud explosion feared caused by terrorists derailed several carriage of the de luxe Nevsky Express traveling from Moscow to St. Petersburg near the town of Bologoye late Friday, Nov. 27. Emergency Minister Sergei Shoigu said at least 25 people were killed and up to 90 injured. Iran threatens to end cooperation with the IAEA, quit NPT
Tehran may well break off cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency-IAEA and withdraw from the Non-Proliferation Treaty if the IAEA's 35-nation board of governors approves a resolution voicing serious concern about its failure to comply with international obligations and referring the issue to the UN Security Council.IAEA director Mohamed ElBaradei capped his 12-year tenure with the admission that the agency's cooperation with Tehran had reached "a dead end."
Jordanian forces pitch in to help Saudis expel Yemeni rebels
In response to an appeal from the Saudi King Abdullah, the Jordanian monarch this week dispatched his army's elite Royal Special Force of 2,000 commandoes to help the Saudis drive out the Yemeni Houthi rebels, who invaded the oil kingdom with Iranian support earlier this month.
