Description:	I’m a PhD biochemist who traded in my academic gig to work for the man in cancer research. As part of my job, I read crap-tons of cancer literature and press releases. One thing that’s becoming apparent to me: the best way to fight disease is to never get it in the first place. What’s that saying? Prevention is the best medicine? A healthy lifestyle is your best shot at warding off all kinds of illnesses, not just cancer, and I’m on a mission to spread the word. I’m gonna try not to preach, I’ll admit when I screw up, and it will hopefully make you laugh. It will be a learning experience for you AND me. I’ll try to fit each post into one or more of these groups: Get Healthy: I’m trying out a new thing Stay Healthy: I’m sharing some tips or things that worked for me Don’t Go Crazy: I’m putting some perspective on it Don’t Go Broke: I’m showing you how to do it on the cheap Oh, and the 5.0 thing? I’m short, not 5′0″, but 4′11 1/2″. I round up. Be warned: this blog will contain frank discussions of bodily functions, sexuality, and the occasional F-bomb.
