Last night I went to see a concert at the Rome Conservatory, it is a fairly modern building with some interesting shapes to photograph.

Panasonic Lumix GF-1 with Optical Viewfinder (+ 20 mm f/1.4)... my new toy!
This is my new camera, the Panasonic Lumix GF-1 with the 20 mm f/1.7, I have also purchased an external optical viewfinder from ebay which fits pretty well (specifically a Helios Viewfinder ~ 35 €). This is pretty cheap for what optical viewfinders go... usually closer to 200€, but its decent and the 35 mm framelines sort of fit the 40 mm focal length of the lens. The combination of the Panasonic GF-1, 20 mm f/1.7 and an optical viewfinder is a really cool combination, discrete, elegant and responsive. Great for having on

Fontana di Trevi Madness
Rome is a beautiful city with incredible monuments, architecture and art... but on a Sunday it is crazy how many people congregate around every "famous" site. This is the "Fontana di Trevi", virtually impossible to get to due to the amount of people and tourist guided groups. Still beautiful though! This is a panorama stitched from 7 vertical frames (hence the distortion... and a few ghosts in the crowd).
