Thanksgiving is for Theists
To whom is an atheist giving thanks on Thanksgiving? President Washington knew who we were thanking: "Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God , to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor . . ."
Mammography in the Middle
Evidence based medical care sounds logical until it's applied to you and your family. The brouhaha over breast cancer screening is a prime example. The recent change in mammography frequency recommendations foreshadows the scope of future debates if we expand the government role in paying for healthcare.
Rainwater, S.787 and Rebuttal
