Description: Stream of consciousness, no cause, no agenda, no method to my madness. When one of my stories sells or publishes, or if I come across a cool story somebody else wrote, I'll post a notice here. I won’t indulge in lengthy commentary on politics or economics, because, frankly, I find these topics boring in the extreme. I’ll talk about my family, religion, and philosophy, because I care about these things. I enjoy books, movies, and gadgetry, so they find a place here as well. I also invite polite comments, as that transforms this activity from a monologue to a dialogue and makes me think more critically about what I’m saying. I’m wary of compliments and have been beaten up by experts, so there’s little threat of giving me a swelled head or sending me to my bedroom in tears.

Okay, I’ve finished Curse of the Spider King. I may be checking under my bed for chubby black spiders with red legs for the next couple of weeks. Thanks, guys. Bottom Line, at the Top: I liked this book. Batson and Hopper have created a compelling story with intere

Celebration!
Tonight from 7-9pm U.S. Central time is the online launch party for my novel, The Muse. It’s been quite a year, taking this thing from concept to no-kidding published book, but it’s been a great learning experience, and I’ve enjoyed every…well, almost every minute of it. Of course, the hardest part is perhaps still ahead, trying to spread the word and build the buzz and get the book into folks’ hands so they can read and enjoy it.
