The woman at the estate sale earlier today saw what I was holding in my arms and sighed happily. "Ah, a Blessed Event doll, good choice!" she exclaimed, adding that she knew exactly what kind of doll it was because she had wanted one as a girl, but had never gotten one. Oh. There were dolls everywhere, in every room of the three story house, but this Blessed Event doll, manufactured in the 1950s

nine months later
it's been exactly nine months since i lost my job. i am a dangerous person when i have time on my hands. day jobs have always saved me from being consumed by a million other things. while it would be nice to find a new day time day treatment center, i've kind of turned the community into that, and just spent yet another day wandering around. did i really make 80 cold calls a day and bust my ass
