On the Twentieth Day of NaNo (and a Review of New Moon)
It’s 2 p.m. and I have written NOTHING! I might write some after my shift at the library is over, though, since the friends we were having over cancelled on us.
But y’all, I went to see the New Moon movie and I gotta say . . . I lurved it!
Now, I know feelings about the whole Twilight behemoth run high in both directions–seems like people either love the books or despise them. But I freely confess that I loved the books, and I even loved the
On the Nineteenth Day of NaNo
I was sleep deprived, due to unpleasant insomnia, and I only wrote about 2,000 words. That is all. To console you, here are some pretty pictures! With apologies to my Facebook friends who have seen most of them already.
On the Eighteenth Day of NaNo
I made it to 95,000 words! I am 5,000 words from my goal, and I’m pretty sure I can finish the manuscript in that many words. If I finish early, I am considering working on some short stories until the month is over, but I might just work on the outline of books 2 and 3. I’m sure I won’t really decide until the last possible minute. I can’t wait to start editing, but I know I’ll be better off letting the rough draft sit and cool off a little before I start poking at it.
I started working on writing down my method for creating a drawstring pouch from any kind of yarn available. It’s not exactly a pattern–it’s more of an ins
On the Seventeenth Day of NaNo
I am tired, good people of the blogdom. So very, very tired. I will sum up the past however many hours since I bored you with talk of Nano via numbers.
1.(and a half): The number of cups of decaf tea I drank with Writing Buddy Laura last night, and I think I will blame my tiredness on her, for if she weren’t so much fun to hang with then I would not stay so late at her house. Wouldn’t be so bad if I could have slept in, but oh no, I woke up early. See number 6 for details.
2. The number of word wars Laura and I had last night during our visit. Or was it three? I think it was only two, but I can’t be sure.
3. (p.m.) The time at which I sho
On the Sixteenth Day of NaNo
I passed 85,000 words! Only 15,000 to make it to my goal of 100,000. I can, of course, write more, if that’s necessary. Of course, a lot of the words I’ve written I already know will have to go–scenes written, and then I thought of a better way to write them. But have I deleted them? NO WAY! Crap counts. And you do not delete during NaNo. I’m going to Writing Buddy Laura’s house tonight, so hopefully there will be word wars, which will hopefully lead to a slightly higher word count.
