Busy weekend
I've managed to get lots done this weekend. Haircut, shopping, picture taking, etc.Yesterday I showed up on the doorstep of the hair salon at 8:45 a.m. to see if they could take me. And they did! I don't like making appointments. Anyway, it worked out quite well. From there it was on to my mother's house. Oh... but before that I'd gone to Price Choppers to get her some bacon which was on sale, and then I'd gone to Walmart which was so busy. Didn't stay very long and it was after that that I'd gone for the haircut and then off to momma's.Had an allergy attack at breakfast at my mother's. I often react to bacon and eggs, but yesterday I finally pinned it down to egg yo
The Office
Okay... so I mentioned in the post below that I was going to go and watch The Office. Wow! I laughed. It was Pam and Jim's wedding day and as they stood at the altar, Dwight stepped forward and plugged in new music. It was the Chris Brown song from the YouTube video. You know... the one where the wedding party dances up the aisle. They totally spoofed it and made it even better by one of them blurting out "We saw this on YouTube!". Loved it!!!
Feels like spring
November is almost over and we've still got no snow on the ground, and the long range forecast doesn't seem to be calling for any at this point. I ain't complaining.I experimented with night photography this evening. Didn't venture too far, and I'm semi-happy with the way the one photo turned out. Not the best composition on it, but I'll get back out there again.
The craft show
So... we headed over to the Best Western craft show around 9:30 this morning, circled the lot a couple of times, and left. The parking was insane and there had to be a dozen vehicles hoping someone would pull out of a space. Total mayhem. Some vehicles were completely blocked into spaces. We ended up going for coffee and went back an hour and a half later and managed to find a really good space during our first circle of the building. A couple hundred spaces and everyone of them filled. But I digress... The show was okay. Lots and lots of jewellery which made me decide right then and there that it's not an avenue I'm going to pursue. Too much competition and not worth it when the
The book signing
I went to The Green Store this morning to buy a Christmas gift and there was a book signing going on. Turns out the book was written by one of my neighbours, and it also turns out that he used to be an NHL defenseman who played for the New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penquins, and the Los Angeles Kings. His name is Sheldon "Shelly" Kannegiesser and I'm shamelessly plugging his book here. It's called the Warriors of Winter, and it's really good. I'm quite impressed. This is someone I've spoken to in the parking lot and had no idea he did any of these things.
