Still Waiting for my Travel Call
I hope everyone had a nice, safe Thanksgiving. We had a great gathering with Kenny's aunts, uncles, and cousins in Milwaukee . He has a new little 2nd cousin that is 4 weeks old, Layna. She is so adoreable and has soooo much black hair. What a good baby! We also got to see Kenny's Uncle Phil from Alaska. G

Airplane tickets ... check
This week, I made airline reservations!!! Can you believe it??? I am anticipating going over to Ethiopia December 19th - 26th. If we don't get the Dec 22nd embassy date, I can change my tickets for a minally fee. Susan Parr is a great travel agency if you are planning a trip. I have 2 great friends that said they would go with me to Ethiopia. Margaret will accompany me over the Christmas trip. She and her husband brought their beautiful daughter home from Ethiopia this past summer. And, Diane will go with me if I travel in January. She has 3 adoreable children from Ethiopia. What is next???
Now that we successfully passed court and Kal & Dee are officially ours, here is what is next:The staff in Ethiopia now will work to get a new birth certificate (5 days minimum), passport (5 days minimum) and other required medical tests, vaccinations, etc. Once these documents are all in order, an application is made to the U.S. Embassy for an appointment on the family’s behalf. A response from the Embassy for an appointment takes a minimum of 14 days. Thus, your family can expect to hear from us about their Embassy date (and an invitation to travel) in the next 1-2 months. I have been thinking about what it will be like to meet my kids for the FIRST time??!!1. Will they smile at me2. Will they want to give me a hug 3. Will they step back when they see me4.
