Description: My struggle to find the truth of Psalm 16:11, "You will make known to me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; In Your right hand there are pleasures forever." no matter how sad and difficult the days get. I write about these days as a mother of four who recently gave her oldest child back to God after 8 1/2 years of battling for her life through medical and developmental challenges. My remaining children include two healthy kids and one with his own medical challenges that fortunately do not slow him down at all. Life is never dull, never easy, never predictable, and always full of blessings even in the direst emergency.

Sink Or Swim
A few weeks ago, a friend challenged me to do two things:Approach each day, all day long, with no expectations.Accept when my agenda gets changed. She encouraged me that if I can open my heart and mind to whatever people and circumstances bring to me, instead of focusing on my plans and how they do or don't fit into my plans, I will lash out in anger and frustration much

Friday Quick Takes
Don't forget to visit Conversion Diary for more Friday Quick Takes! 1. I've officially fasted from Facebook for one week. I'm ashamed to say I struggled with "withdrawal" the first couple of days. I haven't missed it much this week, once I got past that. What I have missed is being in touch with old friends who live far away. So I've been thinking about resurrecting my page so they have
In Which My Forgetfulness Leads to Feline Vandalism
My brain has gone on strike. It lets me walk out the door for a 5-hour zoo excursion without bringing the dog inside and putting her in her crate. It laughs when I leave lights on, music blaring, ovens heating, and perishable foods out when running kids to and from lessons. It taunts when I return home from errands without the one thing I really truly needed. Today, I went grocery shopping for
