a new thing: Stuart Davis
So i'm trying this new thing: at least once a week, I want to blog about an artist or art movement. I've been getting art book from the library and reading all kinds of different websites and blogs, so i've decided to share with you. Let's start with Stuart Davis, a personal fav...Stuart Davis (December 7, 1892 - June 24, 1964), was an early American modernist painter. He was well known for his Jazz influenced, proto-pop art paintings of the 1940s and 1950s. He grew up in an artistic environment, for his father was art director of a Philadelphia newspaper and his mother wa

Yeah, that's right. I'm a jerk. I said that i wanted to blog more, then i go for weeks without posting. Well, i'm not making excuses but i want you to know what happened. Ok, for about a week, i was just lazy. I didn't post because i didn't want to. Then i woke up one morning and thought, I'm gonna blog today. Some of them have been gifts, but some were commissioned (and bought) by the baby's mom :-) I like being able to give my paintings away as gifts, but it's an honor to be requested to paint - and a little scary! I've had 2 friends now, that have requested a picture for their nurseries and just gave me the colors and told me that they trusted me. I'm always a little nervous at first but once I get an idea, I start to get excited! Plus there's something fun about painting for kids/babies. One of my biggest influences is Mary Blair, and a lot of her art was for children's books, cartoons (Disney), and a
back to school?
My mom enlisted me to help my sister, Shelby, with her english project - which i don't mind because i got to work with clay. Shel is making a board game based on the book, Frankenstein. She needed players pieces for the game so i made 4 of the main characters out of clay...before...
