Coach for Cash: Training Program & FAQs
As I noted in the disclaimers, I have allowed my own submission into the Coach for Cash contest mix. So here it is... click here for to open in Excel.
I wanted to post this prior to any other postings of programs... as starting tomorrow, I will start posting the other submissions, one by one, for your review.
In regards to my program... it is very similar to my 'self-coached' plan that I used
Coach for Ca$h Contest
Here's the idea behind the 'Coach for Ca$h' contest. I plan on running the National Marathon in Washington DC on March 20th. The goal, run 2:24:59 or faster.
However, to do a little experiment along the way, I figured I would use this blog to host a contest for anyone that would be interesting in 'coaching' me to my goal.
The Reward: You get $250 if I run 2:24:59 or faster.

It has been a wild last 5-6 days...
* The real big news is that we accepted an offer on our house in Charlotte (it has been on the market for 14 months). If all goes according to plan, we will close the week of Christmas. A huge relief, as one can only image.

Bad wheel
I've never had a significant running injury repeat itself... except rolled ankles, but I don't file those in the same category as other running injuries. However, my lower left leg tendon sheath injury is back once again. This is the third time in the last 8 months.
It first showed up in late March and forced me to miss 17 days. Then, popped up again in September, that time 25 days off was the
Track... and Road
Hit the track tonight for the first time in a very long time... at least 8 months if I'm remembering correctly, and coupled with being back on the track for a workout... it was 400s nonetheless... a recipe for disaster, but a recipe I need to be force fed at this point.
I meet up with Fredo, Frankie, and Gibbons at Fairview... the prescribed workout was 12 x 400 in 70-72 pace with 400m jog
