This Monday, your favorite southern couple is about to take you to an all new level of frugality…the sample!  You might think that to have nice things you have to spend a lot of money…well, I beg to differ!  You can have lots of nice things, get to do fun things and get to try good things all without having to spend ANY money!  How do you do this?  Ask for a sample! Other than being free, the great thing about a sample is that you can try something without having to spend your hard earned dollars on it!  A great place to get free samples is at the grocery store (some don’t give samples, but some do).  You can try some food to see if you like it before you

Today’s article is called It’s all gravy: Cost of Thanksgiving meal sees biggest drop since 2000, by Jonathan Berr.  I am happy to share that according to this article, the average cost for a Thanksgiving meal for 10 people dropped $1.70 this year.  Now, I know that you’re saying to yourself, so what, right?  Because it’s only a couple bucks, right?  Wrong!  Every little bit helps.  When you save $2 here and there, it adds up to movie tickets, dinner out or eventually, an extra % point added to your 401k.

This past weekend, your favorite southern couple went out with some friends Saturday night to one of our favorite local Cajun joints.  The food, and company, was, as always, fantastic.  After a couple hours of eating and gabbing, we decided to come back to our place for games and more laughs.  As we were leaving, I noticed that our friend Brad was not only refilling Jodi’s drink, but was also holding her purse, as she was indisposed.  Now, it’s not the first time I thought this, but that’s when it hit me…these 2 are great for each other!  Throughout the years, people have made fun of the guy who carries his woman’s purse.  Heck, Brad Paisley eve
