I hit some real winners this week. (We won't talk about MORTAL THOUGHTS which I turned off after 14 minutes; if anyone out there has actually sat through that movie and would be willing to admit it and give me a run down on where the hell it ended up going, plot-wise, I'd be willing to send them a pound of coffee).ANYWAY. Some actual winners: The Cable Guy. I saw this in the theater and just didn't get into it. No one I knew really did. At the time it just seemed kind of. . . blah and not all that funny. This time? I found it very funny. And I'm sorry, but I am one of those people who really gets a kick out of Jim Carey. I just think he's outlandish and and hilariously annoying.

I mean, I saw the whole episode and there was talk over the "doula" staying for a home birth because the doctor was out of town, maybe they meant midwife? Doulas wouldn't carry cord-cutting utensils with them. . . .
