The One with the Letter to the Pregnancy
Dear Pregnancy,· What’s with the granola bars and orange juice every morning and night, really?· When it’s time to pick a restaurant, why do you only desire McDonald’s or Burger King?· Thanks for the endowment, but once again, the belly sticks out further.· You have made it possible for me to smell it when my neighbor makes microwave popcorn.· I love my natural red highlights.· The acne is bad.· You’re right. I really should wait at least another 8 or 9 months before I start working out.· Way to stay in our regular jeans!· Are you as happy as I am that the style of my clothes works for maternity as well?!?

Then she picked up a potholder, walked over to the wall with the smoke detector, and fanned the potholder vigorously back and forth.

For those of you who didn’t have the pleasure of listening to my list of daily work-related complaints, just take my word for it. So here I am—unemployed and 4 ½ months pregnant. What’s a girl to do? I was very optimistic about finding something temporary as I live in a very economically seasonal part of the country…and ‘tis the season!I started with events as there are so many major events down here between now and next spring. I have experience in event p
