i'm thankful for ... my husband
i am slowly regaining my energy and strength back. i have never had a reaction to gluten as i did sunday evening. i am so thankful to be feeling better. i am so thankful to have thursday to look forward too. i am so excited and that excitement has helped me to feel better.one by one items are being marked off the to-do list. my brother's cherry cheesecake, check. arranging tables, check. decorating tables, check.

i'm thankful for ... my dining room
our dining room will hold the very special and wonderful 17 people that are coming this way on thursday. last night we arranged, then rearranged, and rearranged one more time to find the perfect way to fit all of us in one room. my family has never fit in one room before. i cried. it was probably from the exhaustion of having my insides ripped from my body or my body attacking itself for the last 40 hours or the hormones of being female. but i am going with the idea that i cried because i am so very happy and tremendously thankful to have a home where people are comfortable, where family wants to make the drive without complaint, where we all fit in one room, together.

i'm thankful for ... my new attitude
i was all geared up to vent and rant, emphasis on the rant part of my vent in my post today. i am having a horrible food allergy reaction today. i love the holidays but dear lord this food allergy of mine may turn me into a recluse. i am safe in my home. i am safe cooking my food. i am safe eating my food. i just don't trust anything else. anyway i was going to rant. but i won't.i am changing my attitude and for that ability i am thankful. i am also thankful for my cup of warm ginger ale and another tall glass of pedialyte. these images and quotes are what have helped change my attitude. some have made me cry. some have made me laugh. some have made me dream. i love

i'm thankful for ... a 3rd year with sam
today is sam's birthday. he turns 3 but to me he is still my puppy. i am so thankful for this dog. he seriously is the best companion i could ever ask for in a dog. he follows me around each day. cuddles when i need to cuddle. plays when i need to play. if you are a long time reader of this blog, you know how deep my love for this dog goes.first day in his new home.
