| Description: |
Hello, and welcome to my weekly massage blog. I am a Washington State Licensed Massage Practitioner located in the Lake City neighborhood of Seattle. I accept most forms of insurance and can help you with coverage questions.
My fundamental massage principles center on care for the “whole Patient”. I have a goal as a bodyworker to offer tangible changes in my client’s physical well being as well as their overall life experience. I involve the client in education with regard to their condition, giving them more tools with which to facilitate their own healing process and develop a sense of “wellness”.
My massage practice focuses on Injury treatment recovery. The treatment work I do offers relief from pain caused by injuries using a full body approach that incorporates client education and body imbalance correction. Together the client and I find ways to make changes that not only offer injury recovery but help prevent further injuries. We achieve this be creating length in shortened muscles, facilitating strength to better support healthy posture and provide pain relief to aggravated areas. This will empower clients to break patterns of chronic and/or recent pain.
I have been a bodyworker since 1997 in Seattle. My education includes massage training at the Brenneke School of Massage, one on one training with a Reiki Master to obtain my Reiki teaching skills and one on one training from a Hot Stone Massage specialist. |
