The Flip to be on the Network – next year

@GaryVee Social Media = Business
Gary nails it (once again) in another video – finally someone puts all of the dots together and shows us in plain english that regardless what you call it (media, social media, web 2.whatever) it’s all still about caring at the end of the day – and big business won’t be able to hide the fact that they don’t care.  We as media profesionals have to wrap it around our head that it’s not just about production, we now have to deliever the total package!Am I wrong?!

When the average viewer looks at video – they don’t think about the cuts, music selection, or graphics (or the lack there of). Unless there’s something wrong with the video – then everyone will notice it. Editing (in terms of media production) is the juxtaposition of time and events (the rearranging of events in time to tell a different or more compelling story).
Seth Godin on Social Networking
The superficial friending of everyone is pointless – the truth in this video released more than a year ago still rings true.  If you have a million “friends” but no one really has your back – what’s the point!
