The Remembrance of Promise Failed
2/11/09-2/12/09 doug@punkretrospective.com The Remembrance of Promise Failed (22309) (or Bouncing Off the Walls of Reality – 2/24/09) I hope to one day look back on this post and laugh at my ignorance. Maybe it will only be a few years from now, or perhaps 30, but I just want to attempt to capture my 42 year-old mindset for that older me. I wish I’d written more notes like this to myself over the years that have passed, because it would really help me see if I have changed at all. I guess it’s ok if you read along now and enlighten me to my mistakes if need be. As a middle-aged man living in 2009, I see the world going to shit, and fast. The trends I
