A Secret Session…
It feels strange to create a post where I don’t actually show you the photos. But it’s for good reason. A lovely lady hired me to take some surprise ‘boudoir’ photos for her.  We went outside, and utilized the amazing fall colors. She let go of inhibitions and modestly brought her own self. Her own style. She wore jeans and bare feet. She did her hair. She had her make up done. She brought a stylist friend and drank wine, and made the whole thing a special event. A sexy surprise
I can’t show you much from this session….because these are meant as a gift for a special someone. But suffice it to say that the lovely lady in this photo did a wonderful job of bringing ‘boudoir’ to the outdoors…in her own way….in her own style. We had a great time creating these images for her to pass on now, and to keep forever. Because she’s young. And beautiful. And why not? To treat yourself to a session like this, just because. Hair done, make up done. And no matter what your age, size or look – you’re amazing.  And…you deserve it!

In between rainy days, I was lucky enough to capture my favorite sun flare during Sherrie and Kevin’s engagement session. These two aren’t getting married until next summer, but why wouldn’t someone take advantage of this gorgeous season? Sherrie and Kevin are lighthearted, to say the least. They’re not worried about getting dirty, or finding leaves in their hair. They are fun and easy and were an absolute pleasure to photograph. And oh my…check out those Fluevogs! Love ‘em! Some changes to announce…
Change is inevitable. Nothing is guaranteed except change, they say (or is that death and taxes??) and so it is with much sadness that I share with you the news that Michelle is leaving Ruby joon Studios. She has a young family that needs her, and of course, of course, they come first. Hopefully, she will appear once in a while for a ‘guest’ shoot, but in the meantime, I wish her all the very best in the world. You will be so missed, Michelle – as Ruby’s joon. As the other half. As that second eye. HOWEVER…Ruby joon will march on! And I am also very excited for 2010 and what it will bring. A brand new year and season of weddings and couple phot
