Playing catch up
It has been the school Holidays over the past two weeks, I did plan to get plenty done with not having to run the kids in & out of town for school, But the reality of it is I am more tired & exhusted with much less acheived. Back at school & my daily ritual of driving them in, droping them off, coffee with friends, home to the studio for couple of hours then back off to pick them up can start all over again. I have really missed it!! So to start with playing catch up, I have been madly going through every thing trying to get all back in order, so far so good I have managed within the week to fit 20hrs study in, half a large commission, pack & post lam

I have been waiting very patiently for the batteries in my camera to charge up so I could take progress shots as I go.This week has been full on with stretching & priming canvas, clay play then making a cast of that, painting, soft stone work & then life in General on top of that. First of all I received my second piece from the guild swap.. Cheryl Irwin makes these absolutely stunning art works they are painted composite stone & are very textured, as you can see by the shadow on the wall. I have hung this piece in the dinning room so it is one of the first things we see when we get home,

Kids First!
My age is showing & yet I don't want to consider myself old, The flu really knocked me clean off my feet, But I have now found my feet again & am building up energy quickly.I have sent my first lot of work with TLC into my Tutor & wait eagerly for its return.This week: I have had kids all week, not just my two but my sons friend & my nephew as well, they are keeping each other entertained most of the time, but when they have had enough of each other I have been giving them cookie dough, hardest part is waiting on the cookies to bake of course.
