Description: I believed Robert Heinlein when he said that writing is not necessarily something to be ashamed of, but do it in private and wash your hands afterwards. My mind is as fickle as a Malaysian traffic light. To keep in touch with my own thoughts if I forget, I write here.

October was thirt...
October was thirty-one grey days. November is rainy. Bangkok’s chilly wind and night life is meant for shrewd people like me. One of the rudiments of life is to be equipped with a good judgment on when to say “yes” and when to say “no”, and when to accept and when not to. I guess I have so much of that in me. And I still screw up a lot. Along the Patpong Road I walked, along Thailand’s many legal activities. I walked fast, overtook the vulgar eyes, profane lips and naughty fingers. Five or six Thai men blocked my way, surreptitiously showing me laminated papers, listing sex shows that the venue had to offer – Thai Girl Show, Ping-Pong Show, Go

I got this from a free book I got from a vegetarian restaurant run by a Buddhist: One cannot be born in this land through minor good roots, blessings, virtues and causal connections. If there are good men or good women who hear of Amitabha Buddha, and recite his name single-mindedly and without confusion, for one day or two days or three days or four days or five days or six days or seven days, then when these people are about to die, Amitabha Buddha and his whole assembly will appear before them. When they die, their minds being unified and not chaotic, they will attain rebirth in Amitabha’s Land of Ultimate Bliss.I wanted to witness the Bud
Morning found me ...
Morning found me rambling in the streets of Bangkok. The sidewalks were laden with vivid street-food (red sausages, hot noodles, deep fried insects) and it was like heaven itself feeding the hungry me. The Siamese smiles and welcoming eyes were the corsage of Bangkok. Have you seen Ronald McDonald in Anjali Mudra hand gesture? With his palms pressed together, held at his heart chakra, his fingertips pointing to the blue sky? I saw one at the entrance of a mall. I wondered if there is one in Japan bowing, one in New Zealand hongi-ing and one in Siberia Eskimo-kissing.I sweated and stank like a pig and only then I decided to give MBK Centre a visit. Fully air-con

The two-way air ticket cost me only RM150. Airasia, the only Malaysian budget airline transported me from Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok. My en route to here was not fun neither it was easy. I didn’t understand any airplane safety instruction given. Their English sounded like Thai. Their Thai also sounded like Thai. But the kick was their stewardess in red. She put together her palms, with her fingers pressed to each other and murmured something sounded like ‘Sawatdee Ka’ but I am pretty sure it was not. A budget plane always comes with cramped small seats and without any sort of entertainment (maybe that’s the reason for hiring much better looking girls compared to an expensive one, wh

If you read enough Neil Gaiman, highly likely you will agree with me that he is a funny man. On page 134 of his American Gods, Gaiman enthused me. For some what he wrote might be a joke, for me, a joke and rejuvenation of way of thinking."You know, one time I saw Tiger down at the water hole: he had the biggest testicles of any animal, and the sharpest claws, and two front teeth as long as knives and as sharp as blades. And I said to him, Brother Tiger, you go for a swim, I’ll look after your balls for you. He was so proud of his balls. So he got into the water hole for a swim, and I put his balls on, and left him my own little spider balls. And then you know what I did?
