Another Christmas bird...
I did another CASE of one of the commercial cards I found at that one store, ya know...you know? BULLSEYE! You got it! LOL! Anyway, this is the card I CASEd: It's hard to tell, but the paper the bird is cut from is sparkly. I liked the color combination and I liked the idea of a die cut sparkly bird. So I sat down yesterday and got busy. Mine doesn't look much like the original, but it made for a good jumping off place. Lookie:

Hey yo! The swine flu seems to be on the wane, finally. Emily and William are still at home today, even though their fevers are gone. Mostly because I am a big softie and when Emily looked at me with tears in her eyes and said, "Mom? Do I hafta go? My throat still really hurts!" And William followed it up with a hacking cough and my heart just said, "One more day won't make that much of a difference, except to their health." Welcome back to the International House of Contagion. Right now the Boy with the Wayward Finger seems to be down with the swine flu. He's not very sick, I will say...still finding the strength to play the Wii, which we had rented yesterday as a special treat for wonderful report cards from both Will and Emily. His teacher this year seems to have found a way to motivate him and was full of praise. And she is helping him navigate through some of the social misunderstandings that he gets into, not being as into the subtleties of language as others his age are.
New Kit Available and Responses to Many Requests
When I was poking through my box of things I had cut and ready to go, I came across an old friend: I found that not only did I have one kit completely ready to go, I had the raw materials for at least 8 more if I restricted myself to the same patterns of the paper.
