Way too much for one day.
This afternoon, in the course of one hour I: got off from work. went to the Employee Medical Center and got my flu shot. drove home and found Charley Anne, my problem child and most recent escapee, outside on the patio. drove to the optometrist and had her look at the broken blood vessel in my eye. drove home. Then I drove my neighbor Sherri clear the hell across town to pick up her car, which was at the shop. At the beginning of rush hour, mind you. That took the next two hours. I am so tired now I don’t even feel like eating. I’ve scooped the cat poop, given Chloe her medicine, did the miscellaneous things you do when you get
A plug-in to come
I’ve installed a plugin called Recipe Share. As soon as I can figure out how to get it to show, I can put recipes on here! May have to enlist the help of my IST man, Dmitriy.
Sunday thoughts!
1. You’ve heard the three biggest lies ever told, haven’t you? I’ll respect you in the morning. The check’s in the mail. And – I’m from the government; I’m here to help. And that’s why I’m not getting the H1N1 flu shot – a girl I work with called it the HINEY flu shot yesterday. Anytime the government starts spouting about something I NEED or the sky will fall, I think my ear canals just close up. Because anything the government touches is all about somebody’s politics and it’s guaranteed to be mucked up. I’ll take my chances with the H1N1 flu. 2. Sophia has decided she’s not goin
Fall has arrived.
Fall arrived with a blast of cool air just in the last few days. And not happy cool air, either, but cloudy, gloomy, rainy cool air. Of course, we need the rain, but we’re not getting enough to make any difference. Uncle Loren called on Wednesday night. Jeff was coming there and they were driving to Charlotte, NC, for the Nascar race. They were taking Uncle Loren’s RV, so at least they’ll be warm and dry. But if they’re out at the track at all…..brrrrrr. Tomorrow it’s supposed to clear up, but still be very cool. I’m glad I’m not there, as sitting on icy bleacher, even for a race, is no fun. Sis emailed to say t
Sis has cellulitis
This is a topic I just did some reading up on, as Sis called me a bit ago to say she’d had a second bout with cellulitis. Apparently since her mastectomy, the lymph nodes in that arm don’t drain properly, and any little cut or scrape can lead to a raging infection that develops very quickly and is potentially fatal. Wow. She had a fever of 103* and the doctor in the ER tried to tell her she had a reaction to a medication. Fortunately she stuck to her guns and got a prescription for Clindamicin, and is going to see her Oncologist tomorrow. Very scary stuff, once you know about it. Get educated, folks!!! Especially those of you with family members that are breast cancer
