| Description: |
the life and crimes of a d/e/a/d/b/e/a/t poet is a narcissistic playground of poet/writer/village idiot, jck hnry. a recent bought of mania has pushing his postings on said blog to a near unbearable level. he is a shameless promoter, crass and self-serving, and a fine cook. during a fit of hysteria the Catholic Church excommunicated him even though he's not a Catholic. They said it was a preemptive measure. During the day he serves the town of Toad Suck, California as Mayor, Tax Collector and Sanitation Engineer; by night he works the front door all Lumpy's Gentlemens Club.
jck hnry also graduated from UCR just minutes before the academic counsel planned on expelling him. With an odd combination of ego, low self-esteem, self pity, nihilism, erectile dysfunction and attention deficient hyper-active disorder, jck some how functions in a quasi-normal way. |

poem: i am out
i am out
graying eyes
no longer see
these words
monogrammed to flesh
white hot fade
a memory no longer worth
notes in a song
every flame cools
eventually
every echo ends
at last
trees feel no revelry
daylight holds no memory
what once began as a path
cleared of brush, tree and shrub
now
overgrown
fast buried beneath
unbending bough
of a sky that holds
no moon

We Are All Junkies Some Days
the sun sits above trees and mountains
and yellow sand deserts
there are no clouds
only
a slight breeze
monsoon season lingers in Arizona
black storm clouds gather over Oklahoma
her voice gray and dying
a mother should not have to bury her son
he places a phone call
not from concern but selfishness
perhaps
his own needs
for the moment
their arrangement simple

2 poems -
again
and again,
streets fill with debris,
newspapers drift languid
without direction
or guidance
snow melts so soon
fill concrete rivers
with cool water
on television
news show report
small things
as Events of the Century
i wonder
it will be [...]
poem
in a suspended state of otherness
let me fold into you
for a moment
maybe two
linger
just awhile
let the clear focus
of reality
blur
let midday sun
bleed through
open windows
without curtains
let me melt onto you
my skin to yours
together entwined
flesh on flesh
wrap around your scent
drown in liquid eyes
before they drift
away
before light fades
and a rambler’s moon
starts to lie
in short hours
we burrow deep
into lust
need
an intimacy not [...]
