It’s a Bird! It’s a Plane! It’s Inappropriate!
This is fake and totally photoshopped. This image went pretty viral and was on pretty much every Fail Blog on the internet. What’s more effed up about this is that someone saw this toy and decided “ohhai! I think it would be funny if we turned Superman into a Superslut.” No, its messed up. I am posting the image that was made viral and the real one that I found on Walmart’s website (ps- it’s on sale!). In all fairness, the real one still is kind of effed. Step 1? STUFF. Step 2? HUG. Step 3? Remove from child. Fail Blog Failllll.
Restaurant Review: Emporio
Last week Steph and I made our way to Emporio in SoHo, a recently opened restaurant brought to us by the creators of Aurora, one of our favorite places to eat in Williamsburg. As soon as we walked in the door my attention was immediately diverted to the slicer behind the bar, the distinct manual kind in shinny red. I saw prosciutto in my future. For those of you who have had the pleasure of experiencing the product of one of these, you know exactly what I’m talking about.
We surveyed the bar, kitchen, and front
Shop for a Cause this Holiday Season!
This holiday season before you go and spend your money on that $10 block of fruitcake at the pharmacy, ask yourself two things:
A. Do you REALLY think the person you are getting that fruitcake for is REALLY going to want it?

With those points made, do your part and make a difference this holiday season. Put down the fruitcake (what is that stuff anyways?! really) and buy some of these products to help support different foundations, and make your friend happy with a great gift, and not tighter pa
You Are What Your Eat (and The Products You Use)
“You are what you eat” and the concept of “beauty from the inside out” have proliferated our beauty-speak and skin-care talk. We know that diets full of saturated fats and refined sugars are inconsistent with health and beauty and that all-natural is best for our bodies. Yet all too often we mistakenly counter this by slathering on unnatural skincare products.
According to Myra Michelle Eby, founder of MyChelle, beauty fro
I’m All Warm & Snuggly
I write this earlyish on a Sunday morning (11, that’s early for a Sunday, right?), thinking of where to meet my friends for brunch and hoping that my 10 month old will be agreeable to whatever restaurant is chosen. By agreeable I mean willing to sit through a meal without throwing utensils, screaming just to experiment with his lungs, or ripping his clothes off. So… what to wear for on a cold, sluggish weekend morning in New York? Jeans, sweatshirt, and ballet flats, darling. The combo that never loses.
Lately I’m living in my Vintage Havana off the shoulder sweat shirt. It’s soft, light-weight (won’t make you look bulky and weird under a
