Sea lion patients check out the
Cha cha cha!
As you can see from this video taken at The Marine Mammal Center - ChaCha (the one with the gray head sitting on the edge of the pool at the beginning of the video) is a young, gregarious and very mobile California sea lion. What you don't see in the video is that ChaCha has a unique ailment - he has an airpocket in his brain! Veterinarians and volunteers at the Center have been caring for him since Septemeber when he was first rescued from a beach in Monterey County. He appears to be gaining strength and could be release back into the wild if veterinarians think he can survive. You can read more about his story and other patients at The Marine Mammal Center
