Some very interesting points
One of the most interesting points Savage brings up, one that I don't believe a lot of people think about, is that gay couples do not (in fact, can not) "accidently" have children. Thus nearly by definition children adopted by gay couples are children the couple wanted. It takes a very well thought out decision for a gay couple to adopt...often (sadly) the same is not true for straight couples.
