I found this great piece of history. The site contains a lot of pix and vids but no music downloads (hint: just come back to The P5 and search for them).Read This: 1980s L.A. The Vibrators - We Vibrate and Pogo Dancing
On this date in 1976, The Vibrators released their debut single, "We Vibrate". It was backed by "Whips And Furs". The B side appeared on their debut album, Pure Mania. The A side was a non-LP track. The London punk band has gone through numerous lineup changes but is still active. Lead singer, Knox, and drummer, Eddie, are still there from the original band.
U.K. Subs - Shake Up The City
On this date in 1982, U.K. Subs released their tenth 7-inch record, an EP called Shake Up The City. It contained "Self Destruct", "Police State (Part 1)" and "War Of The Roses". None of the tracks appeared on a regular album. The London punk band, originally called U.K. Subversives, is still led by Charlie Harper and shows no sign of slowing down.
Music For Pleasure - Light
On this date in 1982, Music For Pleasure released their third single, "Light". It was backed by "Malefice". The 12 inch version offered a third track, "Nostalgia". The A side and the 12-inch bonus track appeared on their debut album, Into The Rain. The other song was a non-LP track. The Leeds, England new wave band disbanded in 1985 after two albums and several singles.
