Swallowed Up By Life
I want to thank all of you who have prayed for Randall and Jenni. It is with the heaviest of hearts I tell you that Randall went home to be with the Lord today, November 23rd.
I have many thoughts but not the wits to put them together. The one thing the Lord has impressed upon me today is that death has not overcome Randall, but rather he has been set free to life. No doubt, he has received the better resurrection; however, Jenni, Alicia, Allison, and Lindsey could use one to raise their broken hearts as well. Jenni needs the strength that only God can give to both teach her how to navig
A Thanksgiving Giveaway
Giveaways are incredibly fun to me – especially if I’m able to offer you something I really, really love myself. That’s the case this week!
Erin and Mary Jo are fellow PW’s who have created the neatest tool for scripture memory. {Those of you in on the scripture memory challenge at the LPM blog know we can use all the tools we can get!} Erin is also president of Worthy of the Prize Sports Ministry so think spiritual fitness in conjunction with physical fitness. Most of you have followed the prayer requests I have posted for our friends Randall and Jenni Black and their girls. I wanted to give a brief update and ask that you continue to hold this family close to your heart.
Randall’s condition has deteriorated rapidly since Fr

I know everyone says it, but the score in no way reflected the intensity of the game in which we were leading 7-6 as late as the 4th quarter. The tide turned quickly and unfortunately we just didn’t catch any breaks. But, there’s no amount of replaying the game in our minds that will change the result so – all ‘ifs’ and ‘buts’ aside – it is what it
Imported: A Hot Cup of Compromise
When I began blogging in 2007, I was both shocked and awed when Darlene of CWO fame asked me to be a part of the devotional team. Life got crazy busy and I eventually stepped back so others could fill that spot. Those old devo’s have been hanging out there since I’m not on the current roster and instead of just quietly saving them to my new computer, I thought I’d repost them every week or so in a little feature we’ll call, Imported. It will continue until I’m out of imports. How do you score that for originality?
In the meantime, if you are looking for a great devot
