red tori
Red tori (shinto gates) at an inari fox shrine in Shimane prefecture.
from the top of all creation
From the archives. This photo was taken near the top of Mt.Fuji in 2005. Seeing the sunrise from the top of a mountain is called ‘goraiko’ or 御来光。Many people climb Mt.Fuji to see this event.
aki
aki (autumn). These leaves are just turning color now in Kamakura. Not a wonderfully interesting photo, I admit, but the colors and patterns are fun.
tanpopo
Dandelions, or 蒲公英 (たんぽぽ) are a favorite of children the world over and can be quite beautiful when shot close up.
moss covered tori
A moss covered tori (gate to a shinto shrine) at Mount Daisen, Tottori prefecture.
