| Description: | The season’s changing is the growth and evolution of who I am as a person. I am a flawed individual with a large heart and a passion for making a difference, no matter how small. Advocacy became a part of my life due to necessity and has developed into my life’s aspiration of speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves. I come from a family where we have various disabilities; we work with others who have various disabilities, or both! Discrimination and Stigma is a daily battle and I have educated my children on the importance of Advocacy and the responsibility we have to assist others. My hope is my children’s children will encounter a more tolerant world. I have a 17 year old son with Asperser’s syndrome, a 16 year old son with Down Syndrome and Autism, and am raising my niece who has a mental health diagnosis and a trauma victim. I have an amazing 27 year old Step-Daughter who has given me a Grandson (Wonderful, life-changing) and a 28 year old Step-Son who I have been blessed to see him grow into being a man. |

I have 'uglies'!
I have a difficult time accepting others truth and I have been known to argue my point of view with a certain smugness of definiteness in my tone . I have learned some very complicated life lessons by paying attention to individuals who seem to live on the fringe of society and I wonder why? I was watching an episode of "Hoarders" on A&E; I have this inquisitiveness regarding the motivation behind this exhausting behavior choice. Anxiety and avoidance are obviously major emotions being experienced but there must be more going on, after all his apartment was 2/3 full of absolute garbage. What
