What I do know is that words are tricky things. Whether spoken, written, or read, these critters are chameleons, never quite looking the same to me as they appear to you. That's the beautiful and scary thing about writing, isn't it? What you take from these words is not necessarily what I meant. This is a blog where I - and I hope you - will celebrate, bemoan, and marvel at the versatility (and fickleness) of words. |
